Limited Edition Rivendell print, printed in museum quality with arguably the best inks and paper available. This piece of art is available as a Limited Edition only and is printed on thick archival paper which allows for more detail, saturation, contrast, and higher longevity compared to regular paper. It has a beautiful sheen and great sense of depth.
This is a Digital Matte Painting (DMP) of Rivendell done in the same manner as the ones used for the Peter Jackson movies. I wanted to capture the feeling of utmost serenity and to picture it as ‘a perfect place’ in a ‘filmic’ look. It is a composite of hundreds of images, mostly shot in New Zealand, and close to a thousand Photoshop layers. Another labour of love as I started working on this in 2019 and chiseled away bit by bit, finalizing it in 2025. Of course, as with all my work, no AI or whatever is used.
