About prints
Made in Sweden
All prints are quality reproductions of my original works — either traditional oil paintings or, for the maps and matte-paintings, digital pieces. I make every print in my studio in Sweden to the highest standards. With the originals on hand, I can compare and test until color and tone match as closely as possible — something that’s hard to guarantee through a third party.
Printing
I print on an Epson P9500, which has arguably the best print quality of any fine‑art printer, in combination with archival pigment inks — lab-tested for longevity up to 200 years (color) and 400 years (black‑and-white). In short, colors remain as they are during our lifetimes when framed and displayed responsibly.
- Limited Edition Maps: Canson Rag Photographique 310 100%-cotton, museum‑grade fine‑art paper. It is a smooth, matte paper providing excellent contrast and saturation.
- Limited Edition Art Reproductions: Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl 320 Thick, pearl-gloss archival paper of 100%-cotton. This paper has a beautiful sheen that mimics the varnish of oil paintings.
- Regular Editions: Hahnemühle Studio Enhanced 210 Poster paper made of 100% cellulose, also smooth and matte, yet lighter than a fine‑art paper. It cannot absorb as much ink as a fine‑art paper, making overall contrast and saturation lower — still really good. This paper offers a high‑quality print at a lower price.
As each print is considered a piece of art, it is treated with the utmost care. Each print is checked manually for any defects or anomalies before packing.
Displaying the prints
Before displaying the print, make sure it has had time to acclimate to the environment where it will remain. Lay the print flat with protective paper and a clean, heavy board on top (for example, a sheet of board or MDF).
The best way to display prints is behind protective glass in a frame. They can also hang as-is on drywall, though they won’t hang as flat as a properly mounted print. Mounting to a board — preferably foam board — is also a great option. Use archival, neutral‑pH adhesive to avoid damaging the paper. Poster paper is less suited to gluing.
For maximum longevity, display prints indoors with stable temperatures and low humidity, under glass or lamination with UV protection, and never in direct sunlight.
As all prints are made with love, treat them with love!
